Where to Stay

We have made arrangements at a range of Downtown hotels. For special rates, please mention Baxter/Smail Wedding or use appropriate codes when booking. Because San Antonio is a busy destination it would be preferable to lock in your booking as soon as possible as the special rates will not be available as the hotels fill up with other, non wedding guests.

There are numerous places to stay in San Antonio, but outside the Downtown area you would likely need a car.

Omni La Mansion

A Spanish colonial San Antonio classic with a nice bar and pool (we suggest a pool courtyard room). Guests can also enjoy the pool, spa, and workout facilities of it's sister hotel, the Mokara, across the river.

The slightly fancier sister hotel to La Mansion is just across the River. Perfect for our refined guests!

Hotel Havana 

A boutique hotel by hotelier Liz Lambert on the banks of the San Antonio River. Full up we are sorry to say.

TownSuites San Antonio Downtown

For a more affordable option, this is a well situated hotel. We have not block booked any rooms, but we thought that it was worth a mention. Room Rate: From $115

All the other major chains are available in San Antonio including The Grand Hyatt, The Sheraton Gunter (Starwood) and Hilton. There are also a number of great B&B's in and around King William. We do suggest you try to stay close to Downtown for ease of transportation.
